Folk Action Figures - Go!

If you could have a set of action figures of folk heroes and villains, who would they be? Maybe traditional ones like Calamity Jane, Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox are great. But be creative: Captain Kirk, Salem Witches, Green Lantern… Larger than life people: Marie Laveaux, Babe Ruth… Hell, don’t limit yourself to people: Gray Aliens, Brer Rabbit, Sasquatch, Herbie… Or even some inanimate things that tend to crop up now and again: The Fountain of Youth, A Masonic Temple….

What about all the characters from childhood stories like three blind mice and jack and the bean stalk. Or Salem witch trials or trains!

Folk songs, like Puff the Magic Dragon - or classic rock songs/ballads that tell stories like One Tin Soldier.
I also love creation stories - Native American myths are extremely poetic, but I would love to see Genesis recreated with shadow puppets!
I can’t wait to see you in action & come play!

Joan of Arc — She was the only person ever recorded to have commanded the entire army of a nation at the age of seventeen.

Donald Shimoda & Richard Bach, from “Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah.” Don’t forget their planes, and the feather! I also second the creation myth suggestion. The micmac tribe of the northeat has a great one.

I see you have Green Lantern but don’t forget Superman and Batman… I’m probably gonna catch crap for this but you must - must! - include ELVIS PRESLEY! He has more “sightings” than Sasquatch, methinks….
